I've used the tournament trimmer a couple times to post an entire tournament in the MTT thread, and I'm wondering if there's any good way of posting a ring game session for comment. I am new to ring games, and any help I can get would be huge. I know that I could just pick some key hands and post them for comment, and I have already done that with one hand in particular, but there are a lot of hands that a beginner wouldn't even recognize as important, and that's where an entire trimmed session would be a great help.
The hand history looks pretty similar for both tournaments and ring games, so I wonder if there's any chance of JeffreyGB modifying the tournament trimmer so that it can work with ring games as well.

I thought of that just today... I'm playing a lot of heads-up, and it doesn't really make sense to post a heads-up hand without the rest of the history.

I filtered for hands that went to the flop with me in them
then I copy/pasted the entire thing into a converter
you will probably have to split it up into several posts in the same thread since only about 30 hands fit in each post
do you need any more details?

Weaktight has an option to upload the entire session (as a .txt, I think), then just like to it in a post or #flopturnriver

This is a huge value - rilla is offering a bigtime service, and some noobies ought to take advantage.

Make a vid and post it. People will watch and comment. Your comments during the session are probably as important as your play.

This is a good idea. I'm sure I'll be pretty embarrassed for everyone to see my play, but what better way to get better?
Now I just have to round up a microphone, and figure out how to make a screencast in Linux.

Say I wanted to make a vid. What software should i use to make it? Are there any downloadable programs online? BTW i use a Mac if that makes any difference.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually think I've used that program once before, but I didn't think it captured live sound, and I don't really want to add it later. Last night I came across something called recordmydesktop that seems to have the functionality of xvidcap and more, so I'm going to give that a shot.
Once I make enough from poker to justify it, I'm just going to get an XP or Vista laptop. It's just too hard to get all these poker clients and PokerTracker to work properly in Linux. The shame!

that's why I use virtualbox. You can just setup a VM, install XP on it, and there you got a little space for poker. Not to mention that since you use it specifically for this, you're much less likely to catch something nasty that could compromise your accounts.

That's a great idea! Why didn't I think of that before?
