Since this is officially "harp on about bankroll management" month.

I was thinking about this last night. Even if you're prepared to redeposit, I'm going to assume that most people who are depositing small amounts online are doing so with the intention of learning poker (or learning to get better anyway). Now lets look at it in REALLY simplistic terms. Lets say every time you get stacked, thats an opportunity to learn. Well playing 2NL on a $50 roll you then have at least 25 learning opportunities. If you were playing 10NL, you may only get 5. Now sure if you're prepared to keep depositing up to $250 then you get your 25 learning opportunities, but now those learning chances have cost you $250 instead of $50.

So one way to think about it, is setting the price you're paying to learn your lessons.
Just playing to improve.

This coming, of course, from the dude what's logged over 200K hands 10NL FR and closing in on my first 50K at 10NL 6m. In between have dabbled in $25NL, and of course the obligatory $2NL & $5NL building roll. But check it...

... 80% of my learnings and corelated f-ck-ups spit the same at 2, 5, 10, and, with the exception of needing to have 3/4-betting / squeezes / and (I believe) more multi-street aggression), even 25NL.

So howz do I wanna donk off my stack to a dumb@ss play? ...at $5NL for $5 or $25NL for $25. I'll take the cheaper lessons on the ABC any day of the week... and then pay more to just focus on the new and more advanced learnings as I move up...

... which I will has soon as I reach that 100 buy-in level.......
