I started playing texas holdem 4 months ago. Read a few books, and online forums like this excellent site.
I bought pokertracker when I moved up to $50 at partypoker about 2 months ago. Im doing OK, but could do better so I was hoping to get some input from these stats.

NL $50, full ring games:

13779 hands

VP$IP: 16.46%
W$WSF: 29.95%
BB/100: 4.94
W$SD: 54.28%
PFR: 2.54%
Aggression factor: 2.46

I'm listed as tight-passive/aggressive in Pokertracker.
Seems like I'm not raising enough hands preflop to be tight/aggressive but I dunno what else to raise with. From EP I pretty much only raise raise AA, KK, QQ, AK. From LP I'll add AQ, AJ, JJ, KQs and once in a while just raise any hand to keep ppl guessing. Any thoughts?

Man, you gotta loosen up a little. You need to check out a preflop chart. You should be raising with TT and even 99 from LP. I would raise JJ in EP on most tables. Your raising requirements are way too tight - you are letting people limp trash too often and aren't getting full value for powerful hands.

I guess this type of play could be offset by very good postflop play, but you evidently think there are some issue if you are posting this question.

Greedo017 is on a distinguished road
i disagree with the JJ TT 99 thing, i don't know many people who raise them and i think they're better off left unraised. imo, your low pfr % is probably because you are limping hands like KQ, AJ, A10, KJ, and you're limping in late position, etc. Pretty much any hand you play in late position when there hasn't been a raise already, you should raise, even if its like 65s. If there has been a raise or you're in ep, don't do this obviously, but otherwise do. that will probably be enough to jump you up to taa status
i betcha that i got something you ain't got, that's called courage, it don't come from no liquor bottle, it ain't scotch

Greedo, you said you disagreed with the TT 99 thing... I said:

then you said:

Quote:

according to this you agree that raising TT and 99 from LP is the move.

I think raising JJ from EP is fine as long as you know WTF you are doing post flop. Anyway this is a debatable point.

The meat of my reply was that he wasn't raising enough hands.

Thanks for the input so far, I appreciate it. I guess I need to loosen up a bit in late position when the pot in unraised.

BTW, here's my top winning/losing hands if that says anything.

Winners: AA, KK, 99, AKs, 66, AQo, 44, 77, TT, 88

Losers: K9s, QJo, KQo, J10o, 72o
