Villain is 41/7/2.1 over 179 hands. He does retarded stuff like limp/min raising from the SB with trash. He plays pretty weak post flop and also limp folds the SB a lot hence my play pre flop. I've been doing this most times vs him and taking it down with C bets on the flop etc.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.20 BB (6 handed) - Party-Poker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
Hero (BB) ($60.40)
UTG ($20.58)
MP ($20.50)
CO ($21.14)
Button ($44.29)
SB ($11.25)
Preflop: Hero is BB with 2 , Q
4 folds, SB calls $0.10, Hero bets $0.60, SB calls $0.60
Flop: ($1.60) Q , J , 9 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.30, SB calls $1.30
Turn: ($4.20) Q (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.85, SB calls $2.85
River: ($9.90) 8 (2 players)
SB bets $6.30 (All-In)
Total pot: $9.90
He's the sort of wierd donk that'll call 2 streets with a jack then shove the river out of not knowing what else to do. Can we call here?

i dont think i call this.. im thinking his calling range on these streets followed by shove would contain 9T, JT, QT, TT, AT, KT... too many hands that beat us i think?
if hes as donkey as you think could he make that play with a missed flush??

I have no idea, but I would like to throw in my POV and what I would do to get some feedback as well. I think the right decision is to fold cause he could easily have a 10 and have you beat, but I'm not sure cause of his read. What was the outcome out of curiosity?

OP: Beginner to Master
If I bet as a bluff, I should be thinking "am I getting better hands to fold? Is it likely that he will fold x% of the time to a y sized bet to make it +EV?". If I bet for value, I should be thinking "am I getting worst hands to call? Am I ahead of enough of his range that this is a good value bet?".

Nope he wasn't really this sort of player. He was passive and overvalued hands, but not hugely bluffy I don't think. Missed fds are still in his range, but I really think straights and 2 pairs he's jus decided to ship are more likely.

i don't think i'm calling this. you say that he limps/min raise from the SB with trash, but you raised 6x the blind, and he calls. is he the type to do that with trash? i think at best you're tied, and at worst you're facing a flush. i'm folding here...my trips get busted all of the time though so maybe i'm biased.

I think if we adjust our betsizing here it's less of a decision. $1.3 on flop is cool, but I'm probably potting the turn. Bad players aren't folding a ten/flush draw here. Then the pot is probably too big to fold any river. Am I off with this?

LOL. Haven't you heard? It's a new type of bonus that site's using, allowing you to have THREE pocket cards

i dont mind that.. if his post flop play is bad we can exploit by making him draw incorrectly.
Lets say though we raise the turn bet and the same river falls. you say we call the all in? what if its checked to us...? i check behind.

He called 10c to complete the 20c bb, I raise to 80. This is 20NL lol.
Illfavour - I didn't pot the turn because I felt his range here was pretty weak and I wanted to get value from his whole range, a lot of which I thought consisted of weak Js and weak 9s. I didn't want to skew his calling range to be more weighted towards the draws and hands that beat me, if that makes sense? Even though he's a station, this board is pretty scary for him.

why is this posted then?
not harping on you, but people post like these really specific reads and then the exact situation comes up and you still want an answer contrary to your reads.
