Well, anyone can respond to this thread, but as a student I wanted to know what kind of hours other part-time players put in and how that works for them.

I do anywhere from 10 to 20 hours a week. it really depends on my schedule, and how tired I am after work. It works our alright for me. I would usually like to be able to play a little more, but not too much more.

I pretty much am unable to work right now so I try for a bare min of 4 hours a day at ring. So we're talking 20+ hours although my goal is 30+.

usually 20-25 hours. Sometimes less, but not often more.
I spend a lot of time reading/studying while at work too...say another 5-10 hrs a week.

I'm moving to part-time hours at work shortly - 4 day weekends!, so will probably aim for 12hrs poker/week.

10-20 hours. I spend time reading articles on improving as well. In the beginning don't look at an hourly earn rate coz it will make you mad

About 7-8 hours per week. I wish for more, but family/work/play always seem to get in the way.

I generally play online 3 to 4 nights a week a couple of hours each session, depending on whether in jump into a tourney that can last 5 to 6 hours. I play mostly lower limits sng and tourneys with $10 to $30 buy in. over the past two years i have kept my monthly profits to around $800

this is me except that currently the wife and kids are out of town, so I've been playing like 5 hours per day for the last week and will continue that for the coming week.

7-10/week. I seem to get more opportunties to play mini-sessions 15-30 mins each more than a 1-2 hour sitting.

Also read up everyday on pokersites at work.

I usually play 5-10 hours of poker a week. I'd like to play more but I don't have enough friends that are that interested in the game.
