Im not sure If I have ever heard this topic discussed here. It seems like it happens to me at least 2-3 times a day over 200-300 hands.

What do you usually do when your in small blind with everyone else out of the hand. Would you play this like heads up? raising with an ace or any pockets? I find it hard to get out of my ring game mentality where I will never be in with my A-3.

What if you get AA or another monster? Do you slowplay like you probably would if you were heads up or do you bet it out and hope they got at least a little something?

Also, would you play hands like 7-9 or Q-5 and bet if you hit? maybe this is all useless but after typing it all theres no way i'm not posting it.

I found that playing cards from the sb for a "discount" was costing me money overall and ruining my VP$IP %. Buuuut, when I'm sb with all folds in front, I do get aggressive as if it were HU.

One consideration I have in this situation is that the chances that the BB is holding a "random hand" are slightly lower b/c with 8 folds in front, it seems that there is a little more chance that the bb could have decent holdings. But my simple answer is "yes" I do get more aggressive with Qx and higher in this situation. I would be interested in other FTRrs thoughts on this too.
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

if its a shorthanded game i'll raise with any two cards if i think i will get away with it (ie take the pot on the flop if he calls, or get a free BB).

if i've just been caught on a bluff, or caught raising with junk a couple of hands ago i'd be more likely to play it passively.. ie limp or fold.

if i'm dealt AA and i've been called down with junk, i'll play the hand like i have junk (ie bet and raise). however if i have a fairly solid table image i'd just put in the minimum raise and hope to extract a little bit more from them..
