At the end of a 3 table S&G I'm in the big blind with about 2500 chips. the blinds are 400-800 and the table has been playing extreamly tight. There are seven people left and only one has less chips then me. I'm delt K8s. Everyone folds around to one to the right of the button he raises to 2000. the button and the SB fold. I go all in for my remaining 1700 chips he calls the 500 and shows AJo. The flop comes down with two clubs but blanks on the turn and river. I'm out. Should I have waited for a better hand? I could have made it through the blinds one more time.

Your play was fine. You just didn't win. Wait any longer and your double up will do you little to no good. You gotta take chances and get some chips together if you're going to have any hope of winning it.

Not a bad play, you were sitting at 3x the blinds, however you were raising into a raised pot, meaning you were raiseing into someone with a good hand (or represented good hand), this isn't advisable. I will generally wait until I have an unraised pot to push. Plus you left yourself with only 1 chance to win..cards.. he isn't going to fold to a 500$ raise when he already pumped 2k.
