I have a couple of questions about BR and skill level as opposed to 50NL. I currently have been quad tabling Party 50NL since my BR was about 600. It is now at a little under 2K. What sort of BR do u guys have at 100 (how many buyins?) and should this be a certain number per table or just a certain number?
Also, is there a significant difference in skill level from 50 to 100?
I would appreciate any info u have. Thanks.

100NL is vvv soft. 100NL 6max is prob softer yet. 20 buyins should be fine, but don't hesitate to move back down if you drop a few buyins.

100 NL isnt really any harder than 50 NL.. at least on Party. Same is true with 6-max for the most part too.

I think you're getting some questionable advice from people who are good enough that they can beat 50NL and 100NL equally as easily. Every time you move up in stakes you'll see a few more decent players and not quite as many fish. If you've been beating 50NL for a decent winrate you'll probably be fine though.
Personally I would never play with a 20-buyin bankroll but plenty of people do it.

2k is enough to play 100NL full. Not enough to play 6 max unless you're really good.
Also, lets be serious. You're not a pro, don't manage your bankroll like one. How are you going to feel about dropping 1k on a dreadful run of cards? Can you reload from your day job if something like that happens?
IMHO, most people should play the biggest two levels they feel they can beat (if your bigger level is playing tough, drop down for the day) for amounts of money that let them play their A game.

Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.

Me too. That 2+2 thread is definitely helpful. I'm going to play another month or two at 50NL to fix some obvious leaks and convince myself that my win rate is solid, but hopefully after that I'll be joining you. Let me/us know how it goes if you get a chance...

if only the jump from 600 NL to 1000 NL was as easy as the jump from 50 to 100. When you get up to 1000 NL you start getting this pressure, i dont know how to describe it other than you realize how much money your "playing" with and if your not careful it can really get to you. 1000 NL is intense no other way to describe it. And I played 600 for a long time.
