Villain running 71/35/? and when he reraised me I intended to get it in against the loon asap as his wide range is probably shiney cards. Anything else on flop except shove feeling slightly sick?

Judging by his stats and stack-sizes, I'm thinking the issue here is bet sizing....

2 folds, Hero bets $0.40, 3 folds, Button raises to $1, (For what it's worth... The blinds are short-stacked. He probably wants them to shove over and have a cheap call / potentially win it right there... I'd be thinking KQ, Ax, (Probably not good enough to play QJ here though.... Also, 22-88 might play this way for set value from you. That said, he has bet a small amount over here which makes me think that he is pricing himself in for a set mine.)

Hero raises to $3.20, (The pot is already $1.55... At this bet sizing you are looking at keeping in a lot of 77-99 stuff which you aren't that far ahead of... Once the short stacks fold out here, I am looking at fold equity to get out some of the weaker stuff that still can take you to value town if they hit (22-88, 10j, JQ, Jx, Qx, A lot of that kind of stuff... You have a premium hand here, so I like just raising to four thirty or so... That leaves $5 behind, making you basically okay to shove any acey flop. BTW, 4-betting this size may make stuff like Aqo, Ajo, etc.. fold out fearing you have 1010+ or AK most of the time.)

Button calls $2.20 (I Think once this happens, I am shoving most aced flops... If they are calling 4bets with A10, etc.. you are good anyway... but this makes your flop decision a lot easier because a lot of that Ax will be gone, you're either way ahead or behind but once that ace hits you're either crushed by jacks or queens or you are way ahead... I like pot size bet on flop / shove given stack-sizes).

mbiz is an unknown quantity at this point
damn what a flop

do you have any reads?

has he 3bet you preflop before?

if he hasnt much at all, i just call his 3bet pre, then on flop uhhhhh damn im crap at poker. the fact that he just flat your 4bet makes AA unlikely, and KK too i think. QQ JJ AK seem more likely to me

flop is just a simple shove. pre is ok, could shove if u think he will call wide
Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.

I thought I'm not folding on the flop there wasn't really anything else to do apart from shove, didnt feel simple at the time. well it seemed simple but just wasn't happy.

Beginning to think the shove pre is better. As it stood I think I set myself up for shoving almost any flop imo, I basically bet the amount i thought would leave him with a pot sized stack on the flop, which now feels bad.

I'm slightly confused to how much would have been a good amount to 4bet to.....I guess this occured because of his semi min raise. (I didnt like him only having to call 2.20 rereading it now).

Looking at his stats later he was three betting a lot ip. He folded anyway to my shove.

Sounds like he is 3-betting his middle pairs. Not really a great play if he is just playing to mine. Maybe he has 9s, maybe he has 10s... But that is why I'm suggesting to really hedge the pre-flop to a higher amount. Get your money in there to charge him for set-mining. If he caps, you are priced in to make a profitable call against nearly any range.
