I have an aggression factor of ~3, and have am worried that i'm bluffing to much.
Anytime I "feel" that I have a 50% or better chance to win a pot on a scary flop i'll make a 3/4 pot - pot size bet. While great in theory, is this good poker practice?
For example:
I limp in with T9 with 5 other players...
the flop is QQQ, a very scary flop... it's checked to me... (2 players still to act after me)
$3.00 in the pot, I bet $2.50.
Long term, is this a Good play?
Bad play?
ps: I play at the .25/.50 tables

Generally I agree with you. In the specific situation you mention I think its a bad bad idea. No one will believe u have the Q and any Acehigh or any pocket pair might check raise u REALLY hard

No problems with being aggressive like that (especially if its checked to you), I'm sure you're probably successful cause most of the time people will fold... As long as you know what to do when you get called or raised... I just hate being called down in those situations though. Of course it all depends on your read on the players, and of course you gotta mix it up a little... Bluff away my friend, until someone burns your ass!
However a good player may notice that you're betting a little too often, and will try to catch you with a slowplay, I know busting LAggs is one of my favorite pastimes...

It's sort of like you're betting for information. You'll also experience bigger swings, but as long as your bankroll can support it, and you're comfortable with losing that bet, its all up to you. It's really all about the people you are playing with.

I've learned to hate that as well.
Raise = Fold
Call = Danger!
I'll try to keep an eye on someone that calls/raises me when I push like that (would be nice to catch them when i do have the goods and do a normal "bluff" to get a reraise for me to punish them)

QQQ is never a scary flop.

Recognize you are repping a hand like low/middle PP or maybe A high - no one is going to give you credit for the Q. If the turn comes with an A or a rag I think you give it up, if paint comes I say fire again on turn.
I think it's a good play, not much of a pickup but with that flop you're not looking to play a big pot, and SOMEONE has to get that 3 bucks.

QQQ isnt scary becuase it hits so few hands.
And the best hand preflop is probably the best hand on the flop.
A scrary flop could hit a lot of hands hard.
So, yes. You're on the right track.

99 steal bluffs of beer on the wall, 99 steal bluffs of beer, take one down pass it around, try it again and I'm making the call.

It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.
