Your question doesn't make sense onqun. Being aggressive isn't a bad thing. It isn't the same as being loose, or anything like that. Being aggressive just means that you are putting pressure on your opponents with bets/raises, which is generally the best approach because you not only have a chance to win at showdown, but now you have a chance to win immediately if they fold. This doesn't mean go out there and start raising everyone with any two cards, just that if you are calling or limping all the time, instead of raising or betting when you have a hand, then the chances are you will be a consistent loser.

Also play money is gonna be nothing like real money, as far as exploiting players etc. goes.

Don't play free games. Even if you have $20 deposit it and play 2NL. The free games play completely differently because people don't care about the outcome.

True, but the same could be said about 2NL...

If your going to play cash though, Deposit 50 bucks. That way you have a great BankRoll for 2NL, and your Bankroll can take the beating untl you can beat 2NL.

yes, you are right.I wrote it wrong. The thing i want to say is i bet and he makes all in(for me) in the preflop and that makes me fold all the time . i am a learner so far.

2nl is no limit poker with $.01/$.02 blinds. The standard buy-in is $2 and it is a no limit game hence $2nl.

Why don't you try reading the forum for awhile. There are strategy posts, blogs, and lots of back threads that discuss basic poker over and over again. Instead of just asking random questions that come off the top of your head.

If you're not even risking $2 of your own money why would you expect people help.

For example
Beginners Digest - VERY HELPFUL

It's called a sticky. Oh, here's another:

Look at the top of the forum and click the tab Poker Strategy. Also look at the top of the beginner's forum and there is a thread that says "Beginner's Digest". Both are great places to start.

Also regarding you betting and him shoving allin, this complicated at free money poker. He may just be doing that with any hands because the chips have no monetary value. Or he could be doing with a hand. So you need to evaluate how strong your hand is, and likely how strong his possible hands are (not just a single hand you put him on but a range of hands he might go allin with). Then decide how your hand stands up against his range of hands. If you fair good then you can call. If you aren't looking so hot against his range of hands you should fold.

Guys, if he can't beat playmoney games, he's going to loose 20$ at 2NL in a hurry.
2NL is infinitely harder to beat than playmoney games. It's not even close.

You exploit the average playmoney table by just playing top hands... don't even worry about post-flop. Play as many playmoney tables as you can and just push AI preflop with AA, - JJ, and AK down to AJ, and you should be making a couple of buy-ins / hour. If you keep playing higher - the highest stakes playmoney games play somewhat like the lowest stakes cash games.
