Ok played poker a couple of years mainly sng's on VC until they changed their software (and pricing structure) about a year ago where I got an account on Pokerstars and played low limit cash 1/2cents for a while. I really liked the software which was the main reason I chose there but decided to move onto Full Tilt and played 10cent poker there where its a little looser.

I've probably played 20k of cash hands and basically broke even but feel with the help of this site (FTR) I've grown quite a bit in the time I've spent playing and reading. (much more time reading than playing).

What prompted me to write this is to help me work out what I should be doing next. Without getting rakeback I think I will be stuck in 10cent poker for a long time (just read the HOLY MOTHER OF GOD rakeback SUCKS thread).

I could move back to sng's until I get a bank roll suitable for 25cent poker and/or I should get an account with rakeback then grind on. With a bank roll of $200 on Pokerstars and another $200 on Full tilt + no rakeback deals what would you do? Also any advice on rakeback/good links appreciated.

when you have a reletively small BR like this, its best to keep it all on one site. I would transfer it all on a room where you can still get RB (UB, AP, euro sites if they apply) and continue at 10nl. Once you hit $500 then start playing 25nl. FWIW, UB has a nice bonus and rakeback which helps negate the bad rake at microstakes.

Is anyone aware of any reason why I shouldn't just get my wife to open an account with Full Tilt and use it to get rakeback?

because if you win anything your wife will withdraw it and spent it on woman stuff. If you lose money you'll get no sex.

other than that, if you have seperate cards, it shouldn't be a problem.
