I think normally I would cbet this despite the scary flop but I thought I picked up a timing tell when the flop hit.

Anway what is optimal play in a situation like this where you have no real reads on a player?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

SB ($2)
BB ($10.05)
UTG ($0.58)
Hero (MP) ($8.77)
CO ($8.56)
Button ($4.69)

Preflop: Hero is MP with A, A
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.20, 3 folds, BB calls $0.15

Flop: ($0.42) Q, Q, J (2 players)
BB checks, Hero ??

Without a read, I'd make a pot-sized bet in the micros, timing tell or not. I'd likely fold to a solid raise here though, even though that gives up a lot of value to the semibluff.

Am i wrong, good players of this site?

I can say with more confidence though that you shouldn't give too much weight to timing tells when you have no other reads on a player (i.e. you haven't seen him give the same timing tell before or something).

Bet something like 3/4 pot to get value out of other pairs and draws. Qx and JJ are a minority of his range.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.
