Ok so I was at this table for awhile and had a reasonable history on the villian. He was playing 47/12/2. I knew there was a really strong possibility he had what he had. After really giving this as much thougt as I could with my limited experience I made what I thought was the correct call. Well you see how it turned out but that doesn't neccessarily mean I made the wrong move or does it? I really want to hear what you all think as I am trying to learn as much as possible. If you'll take the time to give me details on why I did or didn't play it correctly it will be put to use!

raise more preflop, raise more flop, bet more turn, if you do this the call all-in is trivial.

EDIT: Also don't post results

As played I'm folding the turn to his shove.

.35 - .4 preflop.

Raise the flop to like 2.5 call a shove.
If called shove the turn.

Totally makes since. I understand I made it far to easy for him to call my minraise. I got similiar feedback last night through a couple PM's while learning how to post the HH. I sat down and had another hour long session and was faced with almost the same scenario at one of the tables but I played it much better and the results were much better as I gained a buy in.
I am curious about one thing that I have been told by not only Parasuama and others. That being "Never post results." I'd really like to hear the logic behind that. Please know my curiousity is in no way disagreement as I am willing to except the imput based on the sources but I'd still like to hear the logic.
Thanks again for the feedback!

Knowing the results colors the advice you get, because hindsight is always 20/20. It's the decisions you make during the hand that are important, not the showdown. "Don't be results-oriented," as we like to say. It's the process leading up to the eventual result that matters.

What happens on the turn isn't very interesting, because you completely misplayed the hand before that. You shouldn't be in that spot. You don't need to be a loose player to call that donk bet from a presumably tight player with sc's, pp's, single gappers, offsuit connectors.
You're basically saying "Hay guise, I got a hand I can't fold, who wants my moneyz?"

As for what to do:
Same as everyone else said: Bet more, raise more... and start to think about why you are raising what amount.

Big actually I ended up posting just prior to you getting back to me. Makes since not to post results now that it is spelled out to me. I really appreciate all the help you passed on lastnight! Like I said I didn't edit what you did I just figured out how to post prior to your response!

Raise 4x the BB preflop. I'd raise more on the flop, like 1.5x potsize. And then I'd check/fold the turn and river.

47 vpip, he probably plays a lot of suited cards. I would be guessing the villain holds the nuts if he calls the flop bet. Unless the image you give is a Maniac.
