I tried to put villain on a quick range while in the moment, and while I might be able to come up with a more accurate range now, I would like to know if this is close, or what you might include. Obviously this range is hands that bet pre, check flop, check call turn. (range was made up in the moment, remember)
Missed broadways maybe, Mainly AK
PP's 55-22
some slowplayed retarded shit, and maybe 99, 77
Those are some of the only cards(even now actually) that I think can take this line. The only other hands maybe could be SC's that I'm thinking of now.
I don't really think that this turns our hand into a bluff, because I don't know of many hands that beat us that take this line and fold on the turn. So is this a good time to bet to protect/v-bet?
Also, very importantly, what line do you take all through this hand? including the call pre.
My thoughts were:
Pre: we're 200BB deep.
flop: not too much reason to bet, (maybe for the same reason that I bet the turn there?) mainly cuz his call range is still ahead of me ATM I think.
Turn: like I described.
river: Probably c/f, unimproved. c/c a REALLY weak bet there(if he's capable of such)
Thanks for any input.

When thinking about ranges, always try to give the WIDEST range possible.
that means 98s, JTo, QJo, all kinds of stuff
Anyway I usually just bet the flop after he checks it

call preflop is only good if you have a plan. It's a tricky hand to play profitable against a raise. Definitely review your weak-A hands and see if you played them optimally and if you made any profit. If not it might not be so bad to just fold preflop.
Could you explain why you bet the turn?

NP.
Because I honestly believe that villain is betting either the flop, or the turn witj every hand that has me beat. Obviously ther eeare a FEW hands that he doesn't if he's passive. But my little experience w/ him at the table didn't suggest any especially agro play, or especially passive play.
I honestly believe that too much of villains calling range is drawing, not to bet here. I'm very interested to hear opinions about this from some regs.
My point BTW in posting this, was to start to post some marginal situations. As aposed to "what do I do with the near nuts?"

you should use reads when developing ranges - and you gave no reads on villain. My range here is villain is likely to be different to yours, etc.

added something very important to your post
this is a good reason to flat call some hands in position. I'm not sure if A6s is one of those hands though.

you have position, which means that you cannot c/c or c/f - cos you don't get to act after checking.
