I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

I know, but why is that bad. I flopped a gut shot and only one over card. I thought a pot bet was about right.

As for my analysis, I figured villain a couple of broadways or a small pair, hence I thought I was good on the flop, the turn gave me an OESD so I figured fire again, and on the river I hit my str8, so figured I was prob good and villain could be semi bluffing with KJ or similar.

Okay dokey, so for the river call go ahead and work out if you think a call is right or not (visit http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...in-t87954.html if you don't know how).

I've based his range on the play of the whole hand, not sure if I should have added A2c+ in there or perhaps got rid of all the sets and one pair hands as I would expect a raise from sets on that flop. This makes it a clear call I think.

You can probably discount a portion of the sets (I'd say 1/2-3/5 or so for the point of this analysis) but I wouldn't discount them completely.
