Here´s a hand from this morning. villian was playing very aggro postflop, betting bottom pair with no kicker right into me a few hands ago, but slowed down and c/c the river.
Texas Hold'em $0.50-$0.50 NL (real money), hand #1,489,604,116
Table Leeds, 13 Jan 2007 3:33 AM ET
Seat 1: grishka_gad ($47.70 in chips)
Seat 2: scheeraa1 ($69.20 in chips)
Seat 3: Zibinho1 ($49.80 in chips)
Seat 4: Hero [ 8C,7C ] ($57.50 in chips)
Seat 5: HoTsTePPaNo1 ($49.30 in chips)
Seat 6: IDenyMojo ($125.35 in chips)
Seat 7: Zennist ($68.35 in chips)
Seat 8: Danforth Ace ($13.00 in chips)
Seat 9: Ricodemus ($48.75 in chips)
Seat 10: tossen2006 ($51.50 in chips)
ANTES/BLINDS
scheeraa1 posts blind ($0.25), Zibinho1 posts blind ($0.50).
PRE-FLOP
Hero calls $0.50, 5folds, tossen2006 bets $1, Button folds, scheeraa1 calls $0.75, BB folds, Hero calls $0.50.
FLOP [board cards 6D,JH,9S ]
scheeraa1 checks, Hero bets $1.50, tossen2006 calls $1.50, scheeraa1 folds.
TURN [board cards 6D,JH,9S,AC ]
Hero bets $2, tossen2006 calls $2.
RIVER [board cards 6D,JH,9S,AC,10C ]
Hero bets $5, tossen2006 bets $47 and is all-in, Hero ???
i think i played this hand horrible. i shouldn´t have called 87s from utg and when the A fell i realized that i actually was drawing to a gutshot and not to an oesd (assuming villian held KQ)
any comments highly appreciated

At least he let you know you were beat on the river. When the A comes, you do have to realize your outs are cut to four possibly. That doesn't mean you have to be afraid of monsters under the bed, but get a cheap showdown if you hit the wrong end.
limping scs utg isn't horrible if you play goot postflop. I'm not at that level yet.
I don't think you played this too horribly, as long as you folded to the push. You might check to him on flop, but I bet my draws too. Turn bet is too small, though. If you bet it, beat 1/2 pot or more.
If you really want to open your game up, raise this PF. Just be careful postflop and don't do it all the time, just as a changeup.

do you think it's AJ or a pure bluff, miffed?

thanks for your replies.
i folded to his river push. adjusting to lags and floaters and opening my game up in EP is where im working on right now. i folded to his push, b/c i made tilty or bad calls like that far too often recently.
do you think showing more strength on turn and river would have changed the situation?

It would have built the pot up and you would have had a harder time folding it, IMO.....
Seems like when I made these hero calls, it bites me, too....
