Villain is a solid 25/16/2 player over 50 or so hands. I get pp 44 on de bb.
$0.02/$0.05 No Limit Holdem
6 Players
Hand Conversion Powered by weaktight.com
Stacks:
UTG Agrokid ($4.22)
UTG+1 liuxuer ($5.29)
CO 21flash ($6.35)
BTN trillerGTO ($1.32)
SB A11ure23 ($4.94)
BB Hero ($6.57)
Pre-Flop: ($0.07, 6 players) Hero is BB
2 folds, 21flash calls $0.05, trillerGTO calls $0.05, A11ure23 calls $0.03, Hero checks
Flop: ($0.20, 4 players)
A11ure23 checks, Hero checks, 21flash bets $0.10, 1 fold, A11ure23 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, 21flash calls $0.20
I check de flop to induce a bet. Given is stats i'm guessing a low/midd pp or an ace. This isn't the limping type. My thinking at this moment was: AQ+ would have been a raise PF. He could have been limping with A5+, 66 ( He would fold all other small pp, it a solid player) . I beat everything but 66, I raise his bet. If he had a set, he would certainly come over the top of my raise, (fold if he did). He didn't.
Turn: ($0.80, 2 players)
Hero bets $0.65, 21flash calls $0.65
Potsize bet for value. I narrow his range down to 66 or an ace.
Code:
Hand 0: 93.145% 93.15% 00.00% 221313 0.00 { 44 }
Hand 1: 06.855% 06.85% 00.00% 16287 0.00 { 66, A6s+, A8o+ }
River: ($2.10, 2 players)
Hero checks, 21flash goes all-in $5.35, Hero calls $5.35
I check again. This time i'm hoping he made trips, and waiting for a bet. If he believes i have the ace, he would certainly fold when i made a bet. ( or should b/f be a better option?) I want him to believe his three of a kind is strong enough. Acting 'scared' of the ace. He bets AI, i snapcall. I beat everything but the 2 possible higher boats.
Final Pot: $12.80
Results below:
Hero shows a full house, Fours full of Aces
4h 4s
21flash shows a full house, Aces full of Kings
kh as
Is my thinking correct?

I would bet the river. If he made his trips you know he's going to come over the top anyway. His money is going in here, regardless.
However, if he is only sitting on a K he is likely going to check behind given another A there and you lose value because there's a chance he'll call a reasonable bet on the river if he did hit that K.
If he has AK or A6, you're destined to go broke. Such is poker.

Total Cooler, any Ace-Rag is stacking off here so don't lose any sleep on this one.
I'd recommend betting the flop in a limped pot like this. As played maybe a little more on the flop-raise. Also, bet a little more on turn (.75-.80)?
Gotta question how "solid" Villain is btw (open-limping AKo?? <shudder>), make a note!!

That is a dream flop for 44 - you have the third nuts, there are no plausible draws, 3 opponents and at least one of them probably has Ace rag, so bet! You might get a couple of calls and a raise from your opponents.
I really don't like your flop check raise. If the villain is solid, you are alerting him to the strength of your hand. OK you might be a donk, turning your A8o into a bluff, but you are highlighting to him that you could have the hands he fears: 2 pair or a set. Check calling is not very good either, which is why it would have been better to bet this flop.
Bet slightly more on the turn. You still have little reason to fear you are behind and so should remain in the pot building business.
Horrible river card, as all the two pair hands containing an Ace overtook you and if you bet, they will probably raise you. But you are still beating the Ax hands that did not make two pair and they will certainly call a bet. So I am not sure on the best action. I would probably bet fold.
