Should I have continued after the flop? It just felt so cbet-ish.

Althought he does catch a piece of that flop with alot of his limping hands.

I think i should have tried a raise on the flop and c/f after that.

Thanks.

In the future post reads please.

-Raise more preflop.. you are inviting a call here which sucks oop. I raise to .25 here at least. Raising to .15 makes this practically a limped pot.. which makes narrowing ranges tough.

-He is not the one cbetting postflop.. you are the one not cbetting.

-Cbetting this flop is questionable. Depends on the read.

-As played, I just fold here.. exactly what hands would you check-raise here? Not that your opponent is a thinking player.. but is maybe 1 hand you would slowplay on the flop here.. Jh8h ?

I'm still not in the habit of checking stats but i only had 18 hands with him so far, but he had played 14 of them lol ...so 77/11.

I think the reason for not cbetting and the 3x raise was b.c i was oop and just being too passive b/c of that.

Why do I have to convince him i have Jh8h ? I really don't think he's sitting there thinking about my check raise range on that flop. I could be wrong but i doubt it. AFter my check couldn't he be betting with alot of air, flush draws and straight draws? or even mid or bottom pair that he likely won't want to continue with against aggression?

anyways i think the best thing would have been to B/F flop???
