Sorry, no reads, villain just posted into BB for 120bb.

PF: Pretty standard, Open Raise on Button as Steal/Semi-Value play
Flop: Raise Pot for value and to price out flush draws
Turn: Same as flop, Raise Pot for value and price out flush draws but run into a check-raise

Was thinking Villain's range could be pretty wide since it was just a 3x raise and pretty obvious steal situation. Figured it could include set, 2 pair, A10+, flush draw but also possbily Ax or even air. (Is this range too wide?)

My thinking at the time was either shove or fold. Thoughts on whether this an obvious fold or whether we have enough equity to continue?

If we do continue, is this a call or shove?

THANK YOU!!

To me, it's unlikely he has a set on the flop, our villain would have surely 3 bet preflop with AA or QQ unless he's slow playing like hell. It's also unlikely he has the case 4s too.

Although his range is large from the BB, my gut instinct is that he has Ax or Qx and believes he has the best hand. I'm not running XP atm so I can't Stove it up, but I think you're ahead of most of his range here.

I would simple call and try to get it in on the river.

ok his hand cannot be AK or worse because he wouldn't c/c flop and c/r turn
that's a set line, but I added some two pair hands

Hand 0: 37.987% { As4c }
Hand 1: 62.013% { AA, QQ, 44, AQs, A4s, A2s, AQo, A4o, A2o }

usually flush draws minraise on the flop

Lucothefish will become famous soon enough
I'm with iopq, 'set' was my first thought from villain's line.
<@d0zer> how will you learn if I don't berate you harshly?

That's true. It's bizarre, in my experience, people slow play big pairs by limping in EP or flat calling an EP raise in MP/LP, but never flat calling from the blinds. Though as you said, not many other hands would call the flop and raise the turn... :S

Just wondering Iopq, why would AK not be in this range? I have seen plenty of players (at 2nl) flat AK to a pf raise and when they pair the A it is often good and they play it as such.
We would expect a decent player to reraise pf with AK but it doesnt always happen.
I confess in quicksand
