I'm in transition mode again and would like to hear opinions on what you feel the main differences are between these two levels. I play on Stars, but don't mind reading up on a general census either.
So far I've noticed a huge drop in VP$IP%, from 20-40% to 15-30%. Another is aggression with draws.
Any advice would be appreciated.

i dont really remember 50nl and i play at full tilt, but at 100nl most of the regulars are way too nitty and easy to take advantage of and there are just a lot of bad players who you shouldnt have any problems with.

Hey Drew, I also play on stars 200-50NL and I think we have played a few hands with each other.
On most nights, there really isn't much of a difference, the regulars seem to be fairly fluid from 200-50NL and table selection is important; when you move up you will recognize many of the names. Some 50NL tables are tougher than 200NL in the same night.
The biggest overall difference is postflop play. A 13/10 is the same at every level, but you will see more 18/13 or 20/10 guys that are harder to read and will test you sometimes. Also, more players are able to fold TPTK when the betting gets heavy. If you are winning at 50NL, take good notes and you will be just fine.

Setzy and I both have cracked our skull against the 100NL FR rock more than once. I'm currently on my 3rd go around... (Having twice previously worked up to 100NL.. won some, then lost a lot... then losing faith in my game and dropped back down to 50 or 25nl. )
Let me say the suck-outs are WAY WORSE at 100NL.. 
Just kidding... I think the problem I've always had in going up to 100NL is that I would work my way up by being slightly creative, but generally by just playing straightforward solid TAG. Then after winning a 1k+ I would try to "improve" the way I was playing. Ya know.. more hands PF.. playing more postflop, etc. I realize this naturally leads to more variance but I'd compound this issue by playing too many hands... steaming ever so slightly... and not adapting the number of tables I was playing and whammo.. I'm out 2 grand and back down to 25NL hating myself for sucking at poker.
I know that one adjustment I'm going to make this time around is that I will only play 4 tables until I'm WELL, WELL in the black at 100NL. I used to DESTROY pokerroom's 100NL tables, (one because it was a donkfest with nice bonuses and two) because I was restricted to playing 4 (non-resizable) tables on my single screen computer. I could focus a lot more and I could make a LOT more plays against specific players.
Sorry a bit of a hijack, but in general the standard advice is always true: play your game. If you feel the need to "evolve" move down in stakes or at least limit the number of tables you are playing so you can focus.
Also, I did see you at 50NL the other day, but I'm chat banned currently so I couldn't say anything.

I've never played FR so I dunno ... but I can tell you that I find 100NL at 6 max magnitudes more difficult than 50NL. A combination of 100NL being a little harder to beat and 50NL being incredibly easy.

I dunno if I'd say cracked my skull...more like bashed into a bloody pulp.
The big one is to just watch out for the multitabling regs. If you don't recognize the names, spend a few seconds searching and see if you see them on 9+ tables. Chances are wayyyy good if you see somebody on a bunch of tables, they aren't going to play uber reckless. Try to find those elusive tables with more players to the flop, as a table with 3-4 regulars will quickly drop the VPIP down to 10-15%, which is disgusting.
You are going to run into more flop raises than at the lower levels...often they have it, but some of 'em won't. The turn and river play pretty straightforward for the most part.

I don't think the play is really all that different, but the stakes of moving up throw us off more -- the fear of having to move back down, playing differently without realizing it, etc is a bigger factor than some huge jump in play.
I'd say the good regs are a bit better than on 50NL, but you don't want to be playing many pots with regs.
