This isn't the most interesting hand but I'm wondering how you would continue on the turn in a tough spot. Villain was 21/7 through ~30 hands with around half of those from another session. I was running 15/15 through ~15 hands but hadn't been involved in anything interesting, just cbets that induced folds really, so I don't believe I had much of a table image. As for Villain's range I would venture to say fairly wide... 77+ AT+ with lots of suited connectors 87s+ just because the table had been a bit wild and he seemed to fit that description a bit.... I don't think he would have c/c any sort of over pair on the flop (would have expected a bet or c/r), and certainly didn't have anything that was an over pair to JJ. I imagined him c/c flop with something along the lines of 87/98/T9, any set, and AK maybe AQ. So does that all make sense, how is my bet sizing and -- most importantly -- where do we go from here?

(sorry for the unconverted hand but I dont have 10 posts)

dis be 50nl, so it should go in the full ring forum.

i'd def bet more on the flop. i make this bet sizing on this board against people that i feel i have to balance my bet sizing with, but it's UB, and he's a 21/7 who limp/called UTG, soooooo.

i'd $4.50 flop, $9 turn, and as played i'd bet 6-7. we're still ahead of his turn calling range (he calls with any 9x and a bunch of draws and might do something retarded with 6x/77/88), and he's not calling a river bet unimproved with anything he doesn't call a turn bet with, and a bet now protects our hand against like KQ type hands and extracts from draws, so getting value now is vastly superior to getting value on the river, imo.

if he c/c's the turn and the river card doesn't completely suck (like a T), i'm inclined to bet the river for like 6 dollars again.

Agreed with surviva. Bet the flop harder. Fire again on the turn and if he raises you can let it go. If not then you are probably getting called down by someone donking with a mid pair or 9x.
