Need a little help. I routinely play 50NL at PP and do pretty well. I usually win 1/2 my stack or double up if Im having a good sitting. Play pretty premium hands from early pos, call with medium pairs to hit trips and riase agressively from late pos with premium hands to suitd connectors to junk depending on the table. Then when I get some money and I get brave or stupid i go up to 100NL. I play the same but usually lose routinely. The big difference I noticed is that in 100NL people will put you all in compared to 50NL. and I get drawn out with bad beats more then I can count. Last night I had QQ in small blind. Button raises 10xBB I call. Flop is 10,6,8. I check he bets pot, I call. Turn is 7. he goes all in I call. River comes 9 he turn over J10. Happens all the time in 100 NL compared to 50NL. Any advice or jsut stay at 50NL.

With an overpair and a straight draw on the board, stop slow playing! Your hand is very vulnerable. Take that pot down or give them bad odds.
From that hand it sounds like your play is way too passive.

I would have raised pre-flop. I might go all-in preflop if I was facing a very LAGGy opponent with a history of raising large pre-flop with sub-optimal hands. If I was in your situation on the flop I would have raised the flop to see where I'm at. Based on the hand I think you should play at the 50-dollar level for awhile to improve your game. Post lots of hands on FTR.
The 100nl game usually has better players than the 50nl games but not by much, depending on where you play. You might try playing at a site that doesn't have small stakes like 10nl or 25nl but starts with 50 or 100-dollar buy-ins. That way all of the fish that wonder into the site are forced to play at higher levels.
Party nl full-ring-games are tough at the higher limits. You might try playing at the prima or pacific or another site with easier prey.
I would also suggest just starting with one table and taking very accurate notes of the other players at your table. Play more caustiously until you get a good feel for how the other players are playing.
At the higher limits there is a larger percentage of players that work on their poker game. Some of these players use poker-tracker and Game time + to analyze the players around them. If the other players have this software and you do not then you are at a disadvantage.
Make sure you are bankrolled for the 100nl games or you will be playing with scared money and you won't be playing your A game. You need at least 1000 dollars to play there and you should have more like 1500 or more. If you drop below 1000 you must rebuild your bankroll before going back.

i dont like the 100nl or 200nl games at party. For some reason i just cant beat them when i can beat similiar games at other sites (full tilt, ultimate bet) i dont know what it is but i gave up on them all together. maybe you are just stuck in the same boat as me

I found them much much easier then other sites.

The few times Ive ventured up to the 100NL games, I have done very good. I hate 50NL - the progress is so slow but thats where my bankroll is and Im sure that if I cant crush 50 theres no point in trying to play a harder game out of my bankroll.
BTW - Do you really only play on a 10x buyin bankroll?
I only play with 20x buyins in the bankroll, and since I withdrew Im stuck at 1500

I've only played on vcpoker and pokerroom, and noticed the 100 NL tables are more profitable than 50 NL, don't know why but they just are.

Yeah about your bad beat. Quite frankly, I'd say you did that to yourself. With the overpair you HAVE to bet hard on the flop or be prepared to get sucked out on. I would probably bet the flop 1/2 the pot or so, and see if he's really committed to it. If he is, then you push all in on the turn.

I don't like how u played this hand at all. How many people were in the pot b4 the button raised? Has he been raising this aggressively everytime he gets the button? You played this hand the same as I imagine you would have played 55, except you actually called his bet after the flop rather than just laid it down. Why didn't you raise his bet preflop? $10 is 10% of the maximum you can buy-in for at a 100 table - if you raise and he folds it's not such a bad pot. If u raise and he re-raises well maybe your QQ is getting a whunking by KK or AA - then again maybe u r a slight favorite against big slick. I think u could've and should've pushed all-in much sooner - I would much rather take a bad beat off of a stupid play by my opponent than take a bad beat off of a stupid/pansy play from myself.
