4NL - AJs in SB

I would have to have some pretty solid reads not to!

I wouldn't always raise AJs from SB, but I would against a CO limp. AJs is a great hand to play heads up, and I don't want to give away free cards to the BB. Also, taking initiative pre-flop and C-betting this board is fine.

As played, c/f the river. I might call a bet of $0.20 or less. TPGK on a paired board is not that amazing, after all.

Based on what do you decide whether to bet into a nut flush draw or just check it?

I'd of raised/bet every street.

2) I was the PFA, IP and it's checked to me

What Ong said, and against someone who looks pretty loose like this I'd check-call a reasonable bet on the river. There's every chance he can show up with a 6, but he can also do this with a weaker ace.

Raise to 5-7bb PF.

Lead pot on flop as played.

Lead pot on turn. As played, don't just call his raise, try to get the money in.

Checking behind when you aren't the PFA and you can doesn't mean you should. You still just have a draw and if its a really bad board for villain, you can easily steal the pot away with a 1/3-2/3 PSB.

Example: You're in CO w/ 89dd, UTG+1 straightforward mass-tabling 11/9 opens to 3.5bb, you flat and it's HU. Board comes 46Tdd and he checks to you. Pretty easy stab to take it down here. You have loads of equity, he has a lot of AK/AQ combos that will likely just c/f these types of boards. And if he gets squirrely and goes for the c/r its an easy ship depending on sizing w/ your combo draw.

Take my advice with a grain of salt since I suck at poker and I just started playing again a few weeks ago after a long hiatus.

On that note:

With the hand example I gave, we have a massive combo draw and it's a good idea to get the money in when we can put in the last bet. If we just had the 9hi FD vs this big of a nit, I'd likely just fold since we have major reverse implied odds w/ our hand. He could already have a set which would cut out a FD out and he could still hit the FH. Not to mention AKdd, AQdd, etc.

The more aggro he is and likely to stack off with an overpair (in this situation JJ+) I don't have a problem trying to get the money in.

Should probably mention fold equity and shit, but w/e. You can easily look these things up.
Again, I suck at poker, feel free to critique.
