Pre-flop: ($0.15, 8 players) Hero is SB
Mighty MoX raises to $0.30, 5 folds, Hero raises to $1.30, 1 fold, Mighty MoX calls $1

Flop: ($2.70, 2 players)
Hero bets $2, Mighty MoX raises to $4.80, $2.8 to Hero ($12.45)?

villain is 11/6/1.4 over 300. EP PFR% is 6. I havn't seen him in any 3bet pots. i have seen him 4bet with aces though.

when he raises my flop bet, all I can see is monsters that have outflopped me, slowplayed aces and maybe AQ. im a newb with pokerstove but i had a go, and to me it seems im only ahead if his range includes AQo. the problem is I have no idea if it does.

i apologise if this hand is really straightforward.

cheers.

To me this really depends on his aggression factor post flop which you should have if you have a hud, if it is high I am likely to raise or call if it is low fold.

Probably going to fold here with no other read, you may be ahead but there are easier ways to make money than vs a 11/6 at 10nl in this spot.

But I do love a 11/6 who cant fold is AA/KK to my set

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

is check/fold ever correct in this spot? or do we always bet to get value out of AK AQ hands?

yea, he's v v v rarely raising AK here on the frop, we have the Kc so he cannot have AcKc, however, I'm guessing he could have AcQc or any AQs combo really.

hmmm...that 3-bet definately gets my attention. AA and a set are very likely. With a looser player, I could also put him on TPTK or a flush draw where he'd rather just buy the pot now.

This one is heading for a stack-off. I want to avoid that with an 11/6 when I'm holding the overs. Like ProZach said...there are easier ways to make money in $10NL.

seems like a nitty fold, but with his stats and passivity I cant really see anything put QQ/JJ here most the time.

i think AQo is in his range. this is a tough spot though.

I agree that it's tough to lay down KK, but not against this player. The 3bet PF and the flop raise are too convincing here. I just don't put this guy on TPTK showing this aggression.
