I was reading a cardplayer article from the latest issue, by John Vorhaus.
It suggests writing down 3 things you can't do in poker, so you can work out with others how to do them, in order to improve your game. As I play mostly MTTs as they're the most profitable game for me, here's my shot at 3 things I can't do:
1) Make it to the final two tables of an MTT as a big stack. I make it to this stage more than my fair share, however I always seem to be going in as one of the short stacks. When the blinds are very large in comparison to the chip stacks thus there are all-ins nearly every hand, how do you stop yourself becoming short-stacked if you don't pick up any hands?
2) Take advantage of the bubble without a large stack. Possibly leads to the situation in number 1, I find it hard to resist the urge to play just to make the money after spending 3 hours getting this far, when I have a small-medium stack.
3) Dealing with continuation bets. If a player continuation bets into me, I will nearly always fold if it is a significant size of my stack unless i made top pair or better. When is the best time to raise? What board textures? If it comes A-K-3 and I have KQ and am bet into, what's the best play (dependent on stack sizes of course, and assuming no reads on the player.)
If anyone wants to address my 3 things, or post their own, feel free. Could be a good learning exercise.

1 is related to 2.
Best thing for 3 is to try and figure out what your opponents are thinking, "i always fold to cbets and never check-raise. Let's check-raise because they'll be hard pressed to call me." Kinda stuff.
