Maybe I am just lucky. well one is an outkicker, and the other got there on the turn. but hey good day.

I am not posting these as a brag or anything I just want to post my thoughts and show were my opponent went wrong(because a ton of people are making these mistakes(slow playing!)), or was really transparent.

Feel free to criticize every and anything you want.

Hand 1:
This guy was really loose 60/18. So I got aces yay, could have made it like .8 pf but anyways. So on the flop I could have made it bigger 2/3 isnt to big prob coulda made it 3/4 of pot. This right here is the money card for a few reasons IMO. I now highly doubt he is on the flush draw, since he min raised UTG KJ is really the only flush I would put him on here. So I bet big on the turn because if he does have something like KQo he with the K of spade he doesn't have odds to call. I bet $5 on river because I know I am ahead. He went wrong in not raising the flop, granted I may not have folded but he would have been getting in his money with the best hand, he let me catch up here. Big Mistake, he slow played on a terrible board.

UTG ($10.15)
UTG+1 ($9.50)
MP1 ($10.30)
MP2 ($1.85)
MP3 ($1.80)
CO ($5.90)
BTN ($14.05)
SB ($10.95)
Hero ($10.55)
[CO posted $0.15]

Pre-flop: ($0.30, 9 players) Hero is BB
UTG raises to $0.20, 4 folds, CO calls $0.10, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.70, UTG calls $0.50, CO folds

Flop: ($1.70, 2 players)
Hero bets $1.10, UTG calls $1.10

Turn: ($3.90, 2 players)
Hero bets $3, UTG calls $3

River: ($9.90, 2 players)
Hero bets $5, UTG calls $5

Final Pot: $19.90
Hero shows:
UTG shows:

Hero wins $18.95 ( won +$9.15 )
UTG lost -$9.80
CO lost -$0.25

Hand 2:
Vill 24/8 Ok so standard raise here 4x+1 for the limper, BB calls he is actually one of the tighter 10nl players so what do we put him on here, for me usually it is A8+ or Axs and medium to low pp, maybe a SC or two. So on the flop my standard cont bet(no slowplaying!) he min raises me, the check min raise is huge strength at 10nl so I know he has a big one here most likely an Ace, I 3bet (coulda bet more I bet just under pot) On turn he checks and I put him all in and if he has AQ or A2 damn but what can you do. His mistake IMO was playing AJo in the BB so he was out of position the entire hand, and also he is not capable of folding to a better kicker. Big mistake is a lot of new players get out kicked so calling with AT-AQ can be really costly.

Flop: ($1.15, 2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.70, BB raises to $1.40, Hero raises to $3, BB calls $1.60

Turn: ($7.15, 2 players)

Final Pot: $13.75

Hero shows:

Hero wins $13.10 ( won +$6.30 )
BB lost -$6.80
MP1 lost -$0.10

Hand 3:
Got this guy running 30/10 Not really sure why I did not raise here, usually to a 4x raise I call with 99 in mp, to a min raise usually I raise but with one caller I decided just to call. Good flop for me and I got position, I pretty much treat a min bet as a check, so I raise my pretty much standard amount. Now his big raise scream strength, check raises at 10nl at almost always big strength, I think he is probably on either the nut flush draw or a set even tho a set is less likely, but I doubt he is folding the nut flush draw either, I min raised (yup) because he did not have much more left as more of a prod, I mean he calls and he has 1.3 left and I doubt he is committed to he is almost always putting the rest in here so I should have just shoved. The reason I am posting this hand is just to show how to spot strength in opponents hands.

Hand 1 did you leave money behind and why?? Everything else pretty standard, don't see where they made huge mistakes.

Don't worry about it. It's probably not your place to say this anyway. Especially considering that Zach isn't exactly new to this site and has been here almost 3 years longer than you have ... just sayin.

Hand 1 he should have raised flop, but they dont. They have a set, thats the nuts!! Now they needz to trapz joo!! Sure he let you catch up, but you werent folding. Money was going in however he played. Bet bigger on river. He's a calling station so let him call big amounts.

AJo isnt great in BB, agreed.

Hand 3 is pretty standard all around. Min-raise utg is meh, but thats what they do with small PPs, they play the strength of their hand.
Just playing to improve.

Is it still called a set when two of the cards that make your 3 of a kind are on the board?
