well, calling the turn like never sets us up for a good river. we need to get some reads on villain fast to see how wreckless he is and try to not let him stay on your left. also this isn't really a blind steal 'cause there's a limper that we need reads on if we're going to make raising J9o profitable.

anyway my point is that i know that it feels silly folding to that embarrassingly small bet that like begs "omg i have a terrible hand" but my play is to fold here and try to pick a better spot to butt heads with villain (namely when we get a better feel for his play than just PF stats)

I'd probably play this the exact same way. Raising flop doesn't do much for us unless we know villian will stack off with worse, but what the hell is worse than top pair bad kicker that will call your flop raise? Bad turn and river for you, so good fold and well played.
