Fishy player limps UTG and I raise to isolate in MP. Short stack villain 3bets from the hyjack and his/her stats are 20/0 for ten hands and he has not 3 bet until now. I'm not sure why he left $1.55 in his stack. Is this fold based on the read or a call/put him all in based on the math? I'm worried about his stats being so rocky that I want to fold here. Any thoughts?

$0.1/$0.25 No Limit Holdem
7 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG poff20 ($14.05)
UTG+1 Hero ($25.60)
MP cal322 ($32.90)
CO Denis Ul ($4.80)
BTN dfjaajk ($26.45)
SB Rueanger ($14.90)
BB schliere ($22.35)

Pre-flop: ($0.35, 7 players) Hero is UTG+1
poff20 calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.20, 1 fold, Denis Ul raises to $3.25, 3 folds, poff20 folds, $2.05 to Hero ($24.40)?

There's no sense calling because you're not getting away from his $1 bet on the flop so it's either shove or fold. The math here is calling $3.6 to win $6.25. You have to win ~40% of the time to call this.

You're about 40% equity vs 66+,AQs+,AKo+, any tighter and you gotta fold.

What range do you put him on? 10 hands isn't enough hands to use his stats. What do you think about him holding back $1 and how does that effect his range?

I think it shows he is a weaker short-stacker so his range is wider...is this correct? Or does it mean he is so confident in his hand that he is trying to bait me into calling?

You don't really know. Just assign a range and calculate your equity. I'd shove because I feel like he could do this with any pp.

Shortstackers do this with weird crap. I just click the minraise button and get in.
Just playing to improve.
