PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Button ($14.20)
Hero (SB) ($42.05)
BB ($28.80)
UTG ($29.35)
MP ($21.25)
CO ($13.30)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K, K
1 fold, MP calls $0.25, CO calls $0.25, Button calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.75, 1 fold, MP raises to $21.25 (All-In), 2 folds, Hero calls $19.50

This particular situation was Super ez fistpump snap-call, However it ended up. But my real question is, Assuming this is a complete unknown. What's the Highest PP we call w/ here? However donkish villains line, he IS open limp/shoving in EP. Just curious on thoughts about LOWEST PP we call with, How about AK? AKs?

BTW: The reason I say Complete unknown, is because I think it takes minimal reads to develop a confident calling range here. Agree, Disagree? Why?

maybe NL25 is nittier than that and I'm wrong
maybe I'm wrong in general because any time I shove or call a shove with QQ I'm owned :/

minimal reads to develop a calling range?
i guess i will agree with you in some way in 25NL.a few times i saw villain's showed with rubbish, and a few hands later,i called down his rubbish and won.so yes.why?because 25NL opponents doesnt change their game(at least this is what i think)

depends on the kind of player

the passive fish types always have KK/AA when they shove
the OMG I HAVE AN ACE type shove a lot of crap

I've literally seen someone raise, get 3b, 4b, get 5b shoved, call and show up with AQo

I had AK and collected my free 100BB
now if I would just learn not to play for stacks PF with the passive fish...

Obviously the question is about (basicly) what villains range its etc. etc.

You guyz have stated that your thoughts on villains range are that QQ+ is ahead. I would most likely agree Vs. a complete unknown. Maybe even throw in JJ since villain IS an unknown sitting at the table with ~84BB's, which I think is indicitive of poor players generally. The reason I say that it would take minimal hands(showdowns) to understand villains range/thought process is because I believe it would stick out like a soar thumb if villain was way over valueing any PP, or any Ax hand. In which case I think we could profitably adjust our calling range (against the any PP range) to 99+ and against the over value'd Ax hands we could have AQ maybe even AJ(assuming villain has made it obvious Ax hands are in his shoving range).

This is where I love HEM, 'cause I can get instant real-time 3-bet & 4-bet ranges (both as raiser and calling) on-demand. Not so much use with a small hand sample, but for folks where I'm sitting on 1K hands plus, this is great.

So if I'm looking at their range and it's weighted heavily to high pockets TT+... even if AK is in there, I'm prolly folding deep. Even if it's pretty balanced (maybe AK 25-35% of the time) I may not opt for the coin flip unless I'm sitting on AKs and the pot is enough to make up for the odds.

However, if I'm seeing a range that's say 50% or less QQ+/AK and the rest is lower pockets, AQ,KQ etc (and there are a lot of people that shove that wide at least at $25), I'm calling all day long HU.

HEM + a f-kload of hand histories... a really nice addition to reading PF stack-off ranges.
