Villain is 44/40 over 101 hands, has a fvcbet of 0% over 4 hands and has folded to a turn cbet all 3 times. has cbet 17/18 times, and cbet turn 5/6 times.

The plan was to get it in in this spot, and shove on a dry flop if flatted. Bad plan? Then flop went awry.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

Hero bets $0.75, 2 folds, Button raises to $2.60, 2 folds, Hero raises to $7, Button calls $4.40

What's his 3bet pct?

Either way I'm more than likely just getting this in pre if villain is an aggrofish preflop. Your 4bet sizing seems pointless if you're not willing to stack off postflop.

his 3bet % is clearly huge given 44/40 stats. He's basically 3 betting every time it's raised in a hand he wants to play. Given his range is so mega-wide I'd be tempted to go by the villain only hit 30% of the time rule, and even if he did you'll have live overcards a lot of the time when he calls. So I'd just shove.

It's not MONSTER big, he 4bet to 28bb from 10.5bb. I'd say 6.25 is a little more reasonable, but I don't see anything wrong with this sizing, especially OOP vs an aggro villain.

I usually 4bet around 20-25bb, but in this case I really wanted to get it in fast so I made it a tad larger. I don't know, I just thought it would be easier for villain to shove over my larger 4bet.

On hindsight though, villain would have shoved over my 4bet regardless of my bet size if he really wanted to shove so making it larger doesn't really matter.

seems fine to 4bet large against a lag fish oop - we shouldn't be expecting folds like ever

as played c/f

i see no reason to do anything but c/f. having two naked overcards and a gutter doesn't translate to much equity versus anything that calls on mono boards. and he probably can't fold any pocket pair with a diamond himself. or top pair. or Ad/Kd

I really do hate life check/folding flop against a 44/40 in nearly any spot where I have the tiniest piece. This is probably why, in my desperation to stack the whale I often donate one in the process
