PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

CO ($25.35)
Button ($31.35)
SB ($25)
BB ($25.20)
Hero (UTG) ($36.10)
MP ($26.10)

villain is is 17/13 over 100 hands, seems solid, preflop i put him on a somewhat wider range, cause two people in the pot and he is IP, something like TT-22,AJs-A4s,KJs-K8s,Q9s+,J9s+,T9s,98s,87s,AQo-ATo,KJo+,QJo

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A, A
Hero bets $0.75, MP calls $0.75, 1 fold, Button calls $0.75, 1 fold, BB calls $0.50

on the flop i expect him to continue with AJ, KJ, QJ, TT, 77, 33, 7A, 99, 88 i dont expect him to raise his sets cause the flop is so dry, and i will bet most of the turns if i have overpair, tptk

Flop: ($3.10) J, 7, 3 (4 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2.25, 1 fold, Button calls $2.25, 1 fold

he shoves sets, MAYYBE tp with fd JA, JK, JQ? im lost here

Turn: ($7.60) 5 (2 players)
Hero bets $4.75, Button raises to $28.35 (All-In), Hero folds

Total pot: $17.10 | Rake: $0.80

Step 1: Read this thread and learn the material How To: Analyze Calling An All-in
Step 2: Do you really think such a tight player is shoving the turn with top pair 2nd/3rd kicker?

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

I thought spoony did post his view on the hand/thread

what did I miss? Seems like he just wants you to re-evaluate the range you've assigned this person on the turn.

Do you have any info other than his preflop vpip and pfr stats?

Also, a 17/13 nitty player at 6max likely isn't solid and his hand is almost always face up here.

^that's what i'm thinking, or something very close...

honestly seems like he was trying to push you out of the pot. I would say he was putting you on a Ax hand range and therefore he thought you missed the flop big. With the turn card being a rag he probably figured his best move here was either calling and showing weakness or raising you a huge amount to really make you think about what he could have.

I wasn't at the table so I don't know what you were feeling at the time, but it seems to me you should have made a bigger bet on the flop instead of giving the impression that you were just following through with a continuation. if he had called there and the turn card came the way it did I would have did it again, had he moved all-in here... then I may have put him on a much tighter range.

deffinitly a scary situation and any time a player goes all-in at a cash game for way more then the pot is worth it's always a stop and think for me.

Do you happen to remember the player's name?
