What should I be looking for? Is it the same as all other transitions... tighter, more aware, more aggression? I have never played 1/2, aside from the joke at the local B&M. I assume online play is much better.

a lot more aggression, slightly trickier play (e.g. re-raising with draws)
definitely not tighter, from what I've seen more willing to part with money but that wins a lot of pots... but I play 6 max.

It will vary from site to site. At FT, I noticed very little difference between the two in FR. PS definitely seemed more aggro at 1/2 than FT, but I never played PS .5/1, so I can't compare there very well.
Honestly, I think the difference gets exaggerrated by many.

Huge diffrence, lot looser and lot more agressive, be ready for huge variance, I played at pokerroom and was a big loser for months there before I began to master the game. I got sick of getting 3 bet all the time but its diffrent from site to site. Mansion is much softer I think. I dont play at pokerroom anymore at all, that place got rigged decks and the most amazing situations you get in compared to bodog and mansion. Im done with that site after 2 years of playing there after I noticed strange things there and that I actually could be on a bad streak on only that place and not all others losing every hand I played if I didnt have the nuts.
