Hello guys,

I have money on tilt poker. It is a low amount ,but i believe it is good for a start. I have a problem where to play , I usually play in tournaments I have 2 wins at 1.25$ buy in. and 1 third place at 2.24 dollar. First time I started to play. I was playing with 0.01/0.02 bet, however; I figured out it has no difference than plying with play money. People call and raise all the time even they have no pair at all. You might say this is a bluff, but someone raises you call he raises again you call this time you raise with for low card and that person simply folds . It was very irritating. Should I change my blinds to more than 0.01/0.02 or keep trying to find different tables? Or I simply go with Tournaments?

My second question is, I was playing second time on 2.25 bet on 1 table tournament. With my Patience , I try to do best with my hands and I was the chip leader when there were total 3 person on the table. They Started to play very aggressive, I started to wait best hands to get. Of course They neither have good hands all the time, but I was unable to follow the raises all the time. I just could not decide, which cards were best to play. And i said all in with KQ , and he called with A 10 last card opened as A. I lost Could you give me advices about this thank you.

hi onqun,

Take the time to read this article on Bankroll Management. It should help answer part of your first question. As to whether you should play cash or tournaments, why not both? Mix it up.

I don't frequently play tournaments but what you're describing is typical of the later stages of a tournament. As the players decrease and the blinds go up the overall aggression will increase and you must adjust by opening the range of hands you are willing to play. To familiarize yourself with common strategy read these articles on Tournament Poker.

Hope this helps.

You should not go to higher limits because the players call with junk hands. True, it might make you frustrated at times and they play very badly but they also allow you to take their money. Most of the times your good hand will win, and you will make a profit.

Follow bankroll management as has been said. Grind your way up. It's proper way to learn. You must master mental game as well and that means not getting mad when someone calls your all in with AA with 72o and wins. It happens, and you should be happy they called you. Most of the times you'd take their money.

Give me 8 players like that with deep pockets and I'm there .
