sry but i'm really new to poker and after getting envited to 2home poker games and winning them both and making close to $800 dollars. i had to see if i really knew what i was doing.
i then particpated a tourment at the casino and only 9 full tables were seated and i made it to the finale table.
i go all-in with ACe/6 and someone calls with a ACE/Queen. the flop was a 7/2/6. turn Ace. and River was 7
dealer says second high card . and i lose in 7th place.
so the question is the a second high card after 2 pairs.

Yea, you lost.

Winner had AA77Q
you held AA776

tough break, the term is "counterfeited".

A6 VS AQ

A 7 7 2 6 <--- on the board

You both have a pair of aces, and a pair of 7's.

You have AA77 and a high card of a 6,6, or a 2. So 6.
You opponent has AA77 and a high card of a Q, 6 or 2. So Q.

You lose.

OK just to clarify had the river been a 2 you would have won. The holding would have been as follows:

You: AA667
Him: AA22Q

therefore you're two pair are higher than his. Good luck at the tables and welcome to FTR.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.
