Villian Stats : (VP$IP/PFR [Street Aggression] 3-bet%)

Less than 20 hands.

My Thoughts And Questions

So he min raises me in position with lots of other players left to act. I would think a strong hand he would raise harder. He is an unknown so who knows tho.

Get it on the flop all in good ?

Poker Stars $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players

BB: $10.00
Hero (UTG): $11.05
MP: $9.90
CO: $10.00
BTN: $28.65
SB: $11.00

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is UTG with A A
Hero raises to $0.30, MP calls $0.30, 1 fold, BTN calls $0.30, SB calls $0.25, BB calls $0.20

Flop: ($1.50) J 7 T (5 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $1.20, MP raises to $2.40, BTN folds, SB folds, BB folds, Hero raises to $10.75 all in, MP calls $7.20 all in

Turn: ($20.70) K (2 players - 2 are all in)

River: ($20.70) 5 (2 players - 2 are all in)

this is a really bad board for an overpair, especially in a 5 way pot. if you are raised on the flop its a snapfold. nobody is bluffing and this smacked their range

That board looks pretty bad for AA, esp when raised... i would raise more preflop, like 5-6x bb

Yeah when we were 5 ways to the flop was not feeling to good. Then when he makes the min raise on a drawy board and action is back to me and we are hu i thought that he would bet his stronger hands harder as when he made the raise there were alot of players still to act. So i pretty much put him on a weak jack or straight and flush draws and shipped.

So am i basically over thinking it at 10NL? Trying to dumb it down as in "Guy min raised me in a pot with lots of players he must have strong hand and trying to get value from everyone"

It is simple, but more that the flop has been seen by so many players and the board texture favors their range. Thus you have a very low chance of having the best hand when someone raises flop.

Don't change your raise size depending on the strength of you hand. You'd make your hands super transparent that way.

JTx 2 tone boards are disgusting for AA. You could call if you had the Ac here and see if you might catch your backdoor flush/combo draw, but this is sadly a fold in a 5 way pot.

kmind is on a distinguished road
3betting is the worst play with folding being better than calling. If this was HU it'd be more interesting.

Also raise at least 4x at these stakes.
