Ok, to start sorry for not having the HH, currently playing on a computer i can't save anything to.

Kk so 10nl 6 max ps

UTG irrelevant
MP thelfkid $12.00
CO irrelevant
BU bluffbutton $11.00
SB HERO $14.25
BB Villian $11.85

Hero has Jh9s.

Alright so bluffbutton has been raising almost every button over maby 90 hands or so and i have only 3 bet him once so far. He has also isolated like every limper so far, and thelfkid has been limp/folding religiously. Villian sat down around 2 orbits ago and has been reasonably aggressive so far.

Action:

thelfkid limps for $.10; CO folds; blufbutton raises to $.50 ;Hero raises to $1.75 ;Villian raises to $3.00; 2 folds; Hero calls $1.25 more.

Flop ($6.60 or so) 9c 6c 3c
Hero checks. Villian bets $3.75. Hero shoves.

Ok this is completely aweful i know just tell me why it was so bad please. Pre i think light 3 bet is profitable, and calling the mini 4 bet seems alright to me with those odds.

mbiz is an unknown quantity at this point
look im a 5nl noob but ill have a shot

sounds like you got a relatively tight image in the situation since you only 3bet him once before...so hes probably putting you on something decent. instead of laying down preflop he does a weird 4bet which looks a bit suspicious.

is a $4 bet/fold on the flop reasonable or a bad idea?

usually im way off in analysis but im trying haha. this is not a common spot for me atm in FR 5nl coz id prol fold preflop and wait for a better hand to 3bet

Calling the 4bet OOP if pretty bad. I would assume that the overwhelming majority of microstakes players don't 4bet bluff with a high frequency. You are putting in almost 30% of the effective stack in preflop, where you could easily get to plenty of flops that you just c/f on, as his range is likely pretty strong and you miss the flop, so bluffing isn't that profitable.

You really aren't getting as great of odds as you think. He 4bet to 30bb, which is an "ok" 4bet size here. Being OOP is going to make it hard for you to extract if you do hit a solid hand. Not to mention if you hit a J or 9, if the money goes in postflop you are probably an underdog as he isn't going to put in money with many, if any, worse hands.

@mbiz - Bet/folding the flop is pretty bad. If he calls your bet, or shoves over, then you are behind, and building a larger pot with an inferior hand. If he folds, then you had the best hand, and he didn't make a mistake. Basically, a better hand doesn't fold (he doesn't fold QQ+, AcX, KcX). And a worse hand doesn't call.
