Villain just sat down at the table. Hands/reads unknown.

Comments? Suggestions?

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BB with K K
UTG raises to $0.20, 4 folds, Hero raises to $0.60, UTG calls $0.40

Flop: ($1.25) T Q 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.25, UTG calls $1.25

Turn: ($3.75) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets $3.75, UTG calls $3.75

River: ($11.25) J (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $4.30 all in, Hero calls $4.30

 make your 3b preflop larger. Rest is pretty standard and I'm guessing he flips the flopped flush or rivered the straight. Maybe fold river since now there are two very likely draws that got there.

Also, try not using the pot buttons so much

 Your 3-bet preflop should be a little bigger to lower his implied odds since it's unlikely you're getting away from your hand against a 10nl random unless the board comes extremely bad.

 Bigger pre-flop bet and I would check on the turn. Why keep betting into him with a possible flush out there?

 Your bet sizing postflop doesn't really need to be so huge to get all in by the river + betting smaller may just induce lighter flop+turn peels.

 surprised more people aren't suggesting a river fold. timing is important here, but i rarely call here against an unknown. putting him on a range could really help here

 ugly spot... what makes it so bad is you have no information on him...

someone posted to check the turn, but i don't know if checking the turn is a good idea at all. if we check we are going to look very weak, and if villain bets we won't really know what's going on at all.
we could check the turn with intentions of folding i guess. I guess keeping the pot small is a good idea though until we can get more information on villain.

I'd have to fold the river here myself. I guess I'm a nit though, but until i can get a read on villain i'm skerd. too many combos here that beat us.

I play it like this... flop is fine.. turn, 1/2 pot bet or so, if flatted check/fold river. but that's just me and i'm new

Turn: This is probably the best card in the deck for you, so he is still calling with a ton of combo draws that need to pay a price. I would bet 2/3 pot here.

With 2/3 pot your opponent pays a bad price and you can get away from your hand easier (especially if you have a tendency to say...pot odds ---> Fuck It).

River definitely seems like a fold.

 don't know where op is, but we could prolly stop bumping this thread until he puts villain on a range on the river shove. once he does that he'll be like, "lol, oh it's so obvious what i do on the river."
