3bet villain was 20/1/0.5 with 0 3bets to this point in 93 hands. He was pretty weak and had been repeatedly completing his small blind , I'd raise it up 3bb and he'd fold.

$0.05/$0.1 No Limit Holdem
6 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG Bo_mani1 ($10.00)
UTG+1 philbow2 ($4.00)
CO dsrowqf ($9.60)
BTN Hero ($18.70)
SB Ilinea ($14.65)
BB POWRERTRIP ($2.75)

Pre-flop: ($0.15, 6 players) Hero is BTN
1 fold, philbow2 raises to $0.30, dsrowqf raises to $2.70, Hero ???,

I folded but was this too nitty?. I reasoned that he had only raised 1 hand out of 93 played and here he was 3betting someone and he had been playing pretty passively up to now.I therefore put him on AA or KK .This would have left me set mining without the odds to do so. Was I right though?

spenda once said, "look at his bet sizing, laugh, then fold"

if he had bet a dollar or so i'd consider calling because his range is likely AK, QQ+. against QQ+ we're getting the right odds for set value (my rule is 1/10 if i'm in position against someone i'm certain has a monster). against AK, we're a slight favorite

Everyone folded so no idea what he had- a bit later on the session he did a more standard 3bet taking 30c up to 90c. That hand went to showdown and he had KK.

I'm folding. He looks pretty passive, then with a huge overbet like that, he looks like he wants to get someone all-in with him. KK or AA.

Why is he raising that much? Either he is has a big pair or he just wants everybody to fold because he is a fish and he wants to win the pot with 72off lol.

really depends on the villain. i've seen it done with 99 because they're scared to see overcards, AK because they're scared they wont hit, and more often with KK/AA because they're scared of getting sucked out on

That makes sense I do that sometimes to but not with the AK I would rather not hit than lose all my money (see the flop cheaply). I hate it when the pocket rockets get cracked (unless i crack them lol)

Sounds like you made the right fold based on your reads. I'd trust them and wait to take this guy out when you are in a better spot.
