Villian had played 3 hands so no real stats. Previously(about 2 hands earlier) he had gone to showdown with small pp and lost.
PF I put him on 22+ or broadways. Flop I figured he hit a set. On the turn I had 11 outs(9 spades and two Ts).

For god sakes.

Make it 50c pre-flop. Maybe bigger because people like to make stupid calls for small amounts of real money.

Fail that, re-raise pre-flop to $2.5, shove any flop.

Fail that, re-raise the flop to $3, call a shove, shove any turn if he flats.

This is usually something retarded pre-flop. You'll see a small to mediumish pocket pair a lot, but so much other shit that I'm hard pressed to put him on a hand. So I'm just not going to play his hand, I'm just going to play mine really fast and he can give up whenever he wants.

if he has a set like you think he does (which is just so incorrect to put him on exactly a set on the flop when he bets 1/3rd the pot) you actually have 3 non-spades tens and 7 spades (Qs and 2s are not outs if he has a set) for right in the neighborhood of 20% equity meaning you need 4:1 to call the turn, you're getting nowhere near that.

he's in position
that means there's 25 cents in the pot, and you want to compensate for your being OOP by making him play a big pot with worse cards

so make it 60 or even 70
this is not a mistake because you won't be raising even AJo in this spot, you will have ONLY great hands

and I agree with Fnord
nobody is going to limp/reraise anything good here

He could have Aces or Kings, it just won't happen often enough for me to feel bad about getting all of my money into the pot.

More often he'll make a spite call, flop a pair and we'll get it in bad and hope to suck back out.
