i cant remember stats sorry but villain was pretty loose passive but had shown aggro with flopped sets previously and has indeed folded on occasion. (maybe something like 45/20)

villain limps PP's utg.

villain had 3bet my steals two or three times previously over a fairly small sample. i called one of them, called a super weak flop bet and bluffed a turned flush card for the win.

this hand im putting him on mid to high PP's, AK, not much else. I havnt seen him face a 4bet before, and i cant see him calling with much else. this is the first time ive 4bet him

Stacks:
UTG dennisdb10 ($5.55)
UTG+1 scoom321 ($13.20)
MP1 djalexlee ($10.40)
MP2 Ronny6787 ($9.35)
CO makro1983 ($9.15)
BTN Hero ($10.70)
SB not a fact ($13.65)
BB get you hell ($7.90)

Pre-Flop: ($0.15, 8 players) Hero is BTN
5 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, not a fact raises to $1, 1 fold, Hero raises to $3, not a fact calls $2

Flop: ($6.10, 2 players)
not a fact checks, Hero ($7.7)?

is this flop a check or a cbet . surely i can rep a pretty strong pp by cbetting but im worried that i just look spewy from our btn vs blind wars

actaully considering most of his pps are overpairs here, im thinking a check is best.

^^ NSFWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW lol

Hmm I'm probably inclined to actually call this 3bet preflop since we have position with a good, but not made hand. But then again I'm a nit so... It's a pretty shit board, so I guess it all depends on your reads. Could this ever be AQ or AK? if so then a bet might work. If it's only PP then I think you have to check as pretty much any PP in his range at this point is probably raising and I don't think you want to stack off without any outs besides As and Ks.
[00:29] <daven> dc, why not check turn behind

littleogre has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Like the way op played pf but i would check behind on the flop. Villain likely has a pair or overcards and both are likely to call.

betting one street seems like the worst of our options. i'd prolly just check it back and try to get to showdown tbh.

if i were to bet, i'd bet the flop like 2 bucks and shove on a J or Q or a heart that ISN'T a 4/5/7/8/T. this plan doesn't really thrill me though, and i'd rather just value town described villain

not the best way to view this situation. what is his range on the flop? what of that range folds? what of that range calls? do worse call? do better fold? not trying to patronize you, just seems the thought process shouldn't be "how can i win this pot without doing something spewy"

i actually like the 4bet pre given history. without reads that he's a decent reg who can fold i cant see much value in trying to bet this flop. 22,44 and 55 will probably fold but not much else. maybe we could fold out a chop. not enough to warrant a bet i don't think

Hope you don't 4bet this size everytime but vs. this opponent it's probably good. Now you gotta check.

Hmm lets figure out his range for calling a 4 bet - it's wider than average since he's bad and perceives your range to be weaker given history.

AT+,55-JJ

If we bet 66,99,TT,JJ go all in; 55,AT,AJ,AQ all fold I could see 88,77 calling and AK maybe pushing.

Depends if you think a CB could give information. But, it could be possible hes loose, has K6 etc etc and is a donk. But highely unlikely.

imo, try a cbet (smallish) to see where you are at. But you don't want to commit too much to hit only A or K.
