Getting my my sets cracked against back door straights/flushes against the worst guy on the table, twice in a row, then getting it in with top pair against him our next encounter, when he had a set......got me a little annoyed. I then quit for a few hours.
The very first hand of my next session, i get AA in the bb. Get it in pre against Kings and yeh, they didnt wanna hold.
Bout half n hour later i stack off with AK on A2348 board. Was going for thin value, putting him on a medium ace. He c/c'd the whole way with 22. Fooled me.
Later on i raise 56s on the button. I flop a flush draw...hit it on the turn..lost to ace high flush.
I then began to spew, 3 betting 77's and c/r ing all in on a T82 flop.
Soon after the table gets down to HU. Im playing against a decent tag. I 3 bet KJs from the bb and we get it in on a K high flop. He had KQ.
Table fills up, get JTs on the button. Flop ATx, i bet he calls. Turn gives me a flush draw, i bet, he c/r's i push he calls with AJ. i lose and punch my gonads for playing like a wank.
I ran pretty bad it seems. And i also played bad. Im sure there have been countless write ups about people losing heaps, spewing, beats e.t.c. Im Just writing this to vent my frustration so i dont go on bankroll disaster tilt.
Whats the most amount of Buyins You have lost in a single day. ?

I think you already went on a bankroll disaster tilt.
"I then began to spew." Once you realize you are doing this - stop playing.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

10 in a day 2 weeks ago.
Had two -16 downswings in the last month.
I yawned through the whole thing since I play 45 buy-ins deep
Downswings will happen, just don't let tilt turn 10 buy-in downswings into 20.

-5.5 BI three days ago - haven't played since, but I'm gonna crank up a session tonight. I try to play poker 'cuz it's fun. When I start losing, I tilt and spew, and that's no fun. So I've learned to take some time off when a downswing makes it a little unfun. Maximize my enjoyment, not just my profits.

Worst I've ever run is -12 buy-ins.
Although, I'm starting to brace myself given how open I've been playing lately. It's just so easy to take pots off people...

I think Renton once mentioned having a 25-30 or more buy-in downswing about a year ago.

I doubt he was playing winning poker then. Didn't he rip apart his game?

He was already a big winner at 100nl at that point if I remember correctly.

I stop as soon as I drop 4 BI's and re-evaluate what I have been doing wrong.

What's really great about NLHE (and I mean this sincerely) is that you could drop 4 BI's and not be doing anything wrong.

I hate anything beyond 4-5 buyins (I only 4 table). I dont neccessarily stop, but I definately pause and consider whether I'm really playing good poker, and if not am I capable of doing better right now or should I quit.
I think my worst session is around 5-6 and worst day around 7.

Just playing to improve.
