Hi,

wanted to ask if someone knows how the players are at the 10+1 deep stack mtts at stars.
I'm consistently beating the 1.20$ 45 players "sng"s and from time to time am playing the 4.40$ 180s and am doing ok at these. For me it is easier to play the 180s because the blinds increase every 15 minutes and the longer the stages are the more comfortable I get.
With my bankroll I can't really afford to play these MTTs regurarly and I also don't want to waste money to find out, so I thought I'll just ask you.

Thanks in advance, me

First things first, I wouldn't play this tournament if you aren't rolled for it.

With that said, I've played a few of these tournaments and here's what I've noticed. Firstly, there are some genuine fools early on...people that are pushing 5000 chips at the 10/20 blind level with AQ-AK or JJ. If you can identify a few of these before you go broke, you will sit in a pretty good position.

Next, you have incredible implied odds early on in this tournament. You actually have chips to play with, and can afford to lose a pot or two and not be terribly crippled as in the 180 4.40s or 1.20 45 man tournies.

It will take a couple hours (if you don't win a single pot or increase above starting stack amount) before you will reach push/fold mode. After the initial few idiots bust out, players start to drop out fairly slowly. Be forewarned, this tourney takes A LONG TIME TO PLAY. If you manage to get to a final table, it will probably be 9 or 10 hours in. The blind levels are 30 minutes, which lets you see a lot more hands per level.

Overall I've found the players to be pretty bad. But like anything else, I wouldn't play it regularly unless you were rolled for it, or just wanted to play once "for fun". Hope this helps!
Save your stories 'cuz they're all the same..

Thanks, it halps a lot. Since I don't consider myself as being a very good player
I'll probably stay with the micro stakes for now.
