So im playing 1-2 no limit online and I usually buy in for about 40 to 50 bucks per table. I play 2 tables at once. The rest of the people at the table are usually at about 40 – 80 bucks and there usually is one guy with over 100. If theres more than one person at the table with a 100 bucks I usually don’t play there. So here’s my question. When make about 50 percent of my buy in 20 to 25 bucks I deposit the money back into my account and start over with 40 or 50 bucks. I do this so if I get called all in I don’t end risking more than I like too, which helps me from playing scared. Also I find if end up with more than a hundred dollars I start playing very loose and call stuff when I don’t need too. What is your thought s on this plan?

In general, if you are a better player than your opponents you want to have as big a stack as possible so you can make the maximum on your big hands. But if you have problems playing too loose with a big stack, I think you are doing the right thing for now. It would be better to learn how to play with a bigger stack though.

Play 3 $25NL tables with the max buy in until you learn to play with a big stack.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.
