What do you do here? The only likely hands that have us beat are AK, AJ, sets and some flushes. Right now we beat any lower ace, any 2nd pair, any flush draw and even if we are behind right now, we still have plenty of odds to 2nd nut flush. What can he represent with his minraise? What do you think about going allin straight away? Or just flatcalling and reevaluate on the turn?

Villain was running 18/0 over 200 hands.

Donachello will become famous soon enough
I feel like jamming here gets us in behind pretty much 100% of the time. So I think I just flat take the passive approach unless I turn or river a 4th heart.
[00:29] <daven> dc, why not check turn behind
[00:30] <DC> daven
[00:30] <DC> on my hand?
[00:30] <daven> yep

kfaess is an unknown quantity at this point
To elaborate a little on what DC said, think about what types of worse hands might call a shove. We only have a pair+FD, not a very strong hand to start with. So he can either call with worse pairs or worse FD's. AJ is the next worse A, but that makes 2 pair. So he would have to be calling a shove on this board with AT or worse, not very likely at all. We have the Qh and the Jh is on the board, so in order for him to be calling with a worse FD he's have to be calling with a Th or worse, again not very likely.

I think flatting and seeing what he does on turn is much better (he bets pot, he bets 1/4 pot, he insta ships, etc...)

Also, I think in general in these types of spots when you have showdown value you should be less inclined to raise/shove because a lot of the time you have the best hand right now. When you have just a strong draw then you would be more inclined to raise/shove because you have Q high (or something similar) and can fold out hands better than yours.

What do you mean? Please name it and I'll try to do better next time.

Edit: Oh, well, I guess you mean AJ -> AQ.
When I started the thread, I was 100% sure it was AJ...obviously it was not.
