Table is LAGTarded. UTG is an 80/20, BB is a 60/30. Somethin smelled fishy.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is MP with 8, A.
UTG calls, Hero raises, 1 fold, SB 3-bets, BB caps, UTG calls, Hero calls, SB calls.

Flop: (16 SB) K, A, 4 (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls.

Turn: (10 BB) 5 (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks.

River: (10 BB) Q (4 players)
SB checks, BB bets, UTG raises, Hero folds, SB folds, BB calls.

Final Pot: 14 BB

On a related note, I seem to run into these sorts of situations fairly often. I isolate a horrible player preflop with a somewhat marginal Axo (like A8o) and it gets threebet and capped before it is back to me. I've already invested 1bb, the odds on the second call are massive... but it seems to set me up for trouble. You have to devalue top pair massively in these situations. Play them for two pair or better?

elipsesjeff is an unknown quantity at this point
I think you played it fine although you could probably bet/fold the turn or call down if HU if they really are maniacs. They are just there to gamble and you probably should have set yourself up in a situation to see yourself a showdown here, and cheaply. Checking behind on the turn in this situation probably isnt the correct thing to do, although you've got to fold the river unfortunatly.

Getting heads up with 70/30s when you hold a decent hand is amazingly profitable.

I probably just bet/fold the turn and hope my bet buys a cheap showdown. But having said that, I don't mind the turn check here.
