By terrible I mean, of course, that i'm only called if beaten. I'm looking to rep the busted-draw bluff, but meh.

I'm just getting into 5cd but I have a couple questions/observations:

1. How standard is PF here, what hand/opponent does is take for you to 3bet PF?

2, Do you randomize which card your discard here? Obviously with trips is doesn't matter but it got me thinking that against a PF raise it'd be better to discard the higher card in your hand.

3. Play looks ok to me, I agree with a smaller raise. I might think leading something gayish, like $1.50 could work wonders against an aggressive player.

4. How often can villain (a) Have two pair with this bet? and (b) Call a full pot raise with it.

In this instance, I'm going to rep a flush/straight draw (1 card), which obv means no reraise.

Yes, one throws the higher card ordinarily, but IMO this isn't important if the higher card is less than T.

aye. my thinking is that we convince villain that we made the draw if we do that...

a) not sure.. i sorta think of villain's $5 as a c-bet, but that's probably not a good instinct.
b) most of the time, if i do my job repping the bust

Why does it matter which card you discard ?

'Cause when others are in the pot, esp. raising, you can assume a lot of the face cards are spoken for. Since you're not trying to outkick anyone with your trips, you're more likely to catch a 6, for example, than a King.
