I find myself calling those kinds of raises too.

If you think you're ahead on the turn when he checks behind the flop, I would lead out there too when he calls I start looking at his aggression stats and such and try to put him on a hand as the river comes down if I might lead out again if I think I’m ahead but if I think he might go for a slow play raise on the river I’ll probably check in that spot...
His actions in the hand drive my actions…

I agree, objectively that looks like an easy fold but somehow it's really hard to do. There's little chance he's bluffing and there's almost no hand he would raise on the end that you're ahead of. What did he have, pocket jacks or something?

Yeah, and I think this is a bluff 10% or less of the time.

I find that anytime somebody raises preflop and then checks the flop, they have top set around 99.9% of the time if they raise later in the hand without an A hitting the turn or river. That is why I will never check the flop if I hit top set and raised preflop, it is just too obvious of a play.

I have a strange observation about this actually, and I have at times put this into practice. You characterize the table as boring and I'm assuming MP2 is fairly tight. He gets a flop heads up which is as perfect as it gets for a pre-flop raiser with any two cards. Then, with position on you, he checks behind on the flop. How often do players do this? What's the goal? Unless you two are actually playing heads up, or he's in a lot of pots with you specifically, there's no need for trickery. He raised, the flop is crappy, and you checked to him. Why would he NOT bet there unless he flopped a monster? That check alone (without the subsequent action) is so suspicious I'd be tempted to check it all the way until he bet, and see if my hand improved enough to be worth a call. I can't see him playing anything else this way unless he's trying to mix up his play for some reason, or is a REALLY tight guy with overcards (AK/AQ) and thinks you'll check-raise him on the flop. Which you might have, knowing you. Point is, that one piece of information alone makes it look quite a lot like a set. Here there be monsters.

Same here. I do like to slow play my sets, but if I've raised preflop, there is no way I'm checking the flop. It looks way too suspicious. People expect you to bet no matter what the cards are.
