Nice. Although Trikflow made a mistake in capping that river.

You also obviously missed a bet from not betting the flop but who knows what he would have done if he didnt flop his boat and drawing dead.

MP(A8o) was some donk calling along the whole time. Trikflow actually had a hand. I'm glad MP couldn't lay down the weak ace.

If I think my opponents are any good and/or aggressive, then in this situation I would place a flop bet with the intention of bet/calling any raises so I can check raise the turn and bet the river down. Occasionally this will win the pot on the flop (very bad,) but if my read was right on my opponents, they may well call the cheap street with what is very likely two overcards, and stand a decent chance of raising me. Obviously if they raise then my call represents either A2 or a spade draw. Checking the turn would definitely provoke a bet and if either player were on a mid PP probably a raise.

Obviously if I think my opponents are tight and/or passive, checking the flop and the turn are the most profitable plays.

Nice hand, BTW.

I had thought that you were gone when I posted this or just missed it. I couldn't figure out what you were doing at a .5/1 table. Weird that somebody has that exact screenname.

The flop check by the villian in this hand really sucks. He has a very strong hand and is expected to bet, so he's got to bet out here.
