Hand 1

SB is Tight/Passive

Hero is Button with AdQd

2 folds, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls

Flop: AsQhTd

SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB folds

Turn: 5h

SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, BB folds, Hero calls

River: 9s

SB bets, Hero calls

Calling the correct play? How about raising? Only hand I could put him on that I lose to was TT.

Hand 2--Can I 3bet the river?

CO is Tight/Aggressive

Hero is BB with QcQh

2 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB folds, Hero raises, 2 calls

Flop: Tc9h5h

Hero bets, CO calls, Button calls

Turn: 4c

Hero bets, CO calls, Button calls

River: Qs

Hero donks, CO raises, Button calls, Hero calls

Can I 3bet here... really wanted to....really thought he had QJ....was really wrong

Well hands like these have been chewing away at my profits lately, I am still up but these hands are killing me!! Im getting very good at picking up orphan pots, winning way more than 20% of the hands I play, however, I cannot seem to win big pots. What is standard of a good 6max player, winning a lot of pots, or winning less than their share, but larger pots?

Thanks for any help

Hand 1: Well, how can you put your opponent exactly on TT?? I three bet this turn every day.

Hand 2: Thats tough, Top set, but you cant put him exactly on QJ, your read is probably more of either a straight or flush draw. You have to flat call here unfortunately.

Opp had KJo in hand #1 yes?

Hand #2

Meh, I 3bet that river at 1/2, many more people do that with a single pair of Queens with a decent kicker, much more often than they'll have a straight there from what I've seen at 0.5/1 and 1/2.. you'll be good muuuuuuuuch more often than you won't be on that.
